Daily: run the machine's own milk rinse. Weekly: a milk-system clean — Jura mini tabs or a Dr Coffee sachet. Monthly or when the machine asks: a cleaning tablet through the brew unit. When prompted: descale, and change the water filter. A machine with a CLARIS or CF200A filter fitted will ask to be descaled far less often.

Using the right product is not fussiness — the wrong descaler will void a warranty and a neglected milk system will make every drink taste of it.
What needs doing, and how often
Buying the right one
Jura machines take Jura tablets, descaler and CLARIS filters. Dr Coffee machines take the milk kit and the CF200A tank filter. Traditional espresso machines and grinders take Cafiza for coffee oils and Urnex Dezcal for scale. If you rent from us, servicing is included and we bring the consumables with us.

Are these prices including VAT?
Cleaning products are listed excluding VAT.
Can I use a supermarket descaler?
No. Machine manufacturers specify their own descaler and using anything else can invalidate the warranty. It is also usually a false economy — the genuine tablets are dosed for the machine.
How often should the milk system be cleaned?
Rinse daily using the machine's own programme, and run a full milk-system clean weekly. The Dr Coffee kit is dosed as a six-day cyclical programme, which is a month per pack.
Do I still need these if I rent?
Servicing is included in every rental and we supply what the machine needs on those visits. Day-to-day cleaning between services is down to you, and these are the products to use.
